Directly from the hotel, aboard your vehicle (jeep or minivan), you will set off for Mount Etna to discover some of Italy’s most fascinating natural landscapes. Upon arriving at Piano Provenzana, on Etna’s northern slope, at an elevation of 1,800 meters, you will begin your trek to admire the side craters, crossing forests, volcanic cones, and lava flows. The trek will take you up to an altitude of about 2,150 meters, where you will be rewarded with boundless and unforgettable views. Next, you will visit a local tavern at the base of Mount Etna, where you will have the opportunity to taste some of the island’s most renowned wines, before heading to the Alcantara Gorges, a natural canyon carved by the continuous flow of water, where you will be amazed by the ancient and fascinating basaltic colonnades. Afterward, you will return to the hotel.
