You’ll depart by bus toward Portoferraio, a charming town that still preserves its Renaissance allure. You’ll explore the heart of the city, wandering through narrow alleys, scenic little squares, and flower-adorned balconies—perhaps even meeting locals eager to share stories and anecdotes about the island.
You’ll climb up to the Teatro dei Vigilanti, commissioned by Napoleon and built within an old church, and visit the cloister of the De Laugier barracks, now a cultural center.
In front of the Villa dei Mulini, your guide will share the villa’s history and its connection to the Emperor, though interior visits will not be possible. The tour will end along the seafront promenade, where you’ll have free time to shop or browse the seaside boutiques.
